作品紹介
1年間を通して、1年間の花々が咲いていく。
花々は生まれ、咲き、散り、枯れて死んでいく。つまり、花は誕生と死滅を繰り返す。人々が近くで動きまわると花々は散っていき、じっとしていると花々は普段より多く生まれる。
作品は、コンピュータプログラムによってリアルタイムで描かれ続けている。あらかじめ記録された映像を再生しているわけではない。全体として以前の状態が複製されることなく、人々のふるまいの影響を受けながら、永遠に変化し続ける。今この瞬間の絵は2度と見ることができない。
Throughout the year, with the passing of time, flowers bloom and change.
The flowers bud, grow, and blossom before their petals begin to wither and eventually fade away. The cycle of growth and decay repeats itself in perpetuity. If a person stays still, the flowers surrounding them grow and bloom more abundantly.
The artwork is not a pre-recorded image that is played back: it is created by a computer program that continuously renders the work in real time. The interaction between people and the installation causes continuous change in the artwork: previous visual states can never be replicated, and will never reoccur. The picture at this moment can never be seen again
作品に込めた想い
銅色の光の立方体の中で、花々は、1年を通して実際の季節とともに変わり、人々のふるまいに影響を受けながら、永遠に変化し続けます。
銅色は、住友の創成期、17世紀末に開坑し、283年間にわたり事業の根幹を支え続けた、別子銅山の銅を意味します。
花々は、今を生きる人々のふるまいによる変化しながら、永遠に生と死を繰り返すことで、変化と連続性を意味します。
そして光は、未来や希望を意味します。
この作品が、創成期から現在、そして未来へと、永遠に変化しながら、新たな価値を創造し続けていくことの象徴になればと願っています。
In a copper light cube, the flowers change with the actual season throughout the year and continue to change forever, influenced by the behavior of people.
The copper color refers to the copper of the Besshi Copper Mine, which was opened in the late 17th century, and continued to support the core of the Sumitomo business for over 283 years.
Flowers mean change and continuity by repeating life and death eternally while changing due to the behavior of the people who live in the present moment.
Light refers to the future and hope.
By Continuously changing from its inception to the present and into the future, We hope that this work will become a symbol of continuously creating new value.

作品紹介
書かれた「空書」は作品空間の中を全て同一方向に回転しているが、「超主観空間」の特性として、視覚的には、左回転も右回転も論理的に同等となる。そのため、意識によって、書は、左回りにも、右回りにもなる。
「空書」とは、空間に書く書。書の墨跡が持つ、深さや速さ、力の強さのようなものを、新たな解釈で空間に立体的に再構築し、チームラボの「超主観空間」の論理構造によって2次元化している。書は平面と立体との間を行き来する。
The Spatial Calligraphy rotates in the artwork space, every aspect rotating in the same direction. But because of the special characteristics of Ultrasubjective Space, it can appear to be rotating clockwise or counterclockwise.
Spatial Calligraphy is Japanese sho (calligraphy) drawn in space. The artwork reconstructs sho in three dimensional space to express the depth, speed and power of the brush stroke, and that sho is then flattened using the logical structure teamLab calls Ultrasubjective Space. The calligraphy shifts between two and three dimensions.

チームラボは、アートによって、自分と世界との関係と新たな認識を模索したいと思っている。人は、認識するために世界を切り分けて、境界のある独立したものとして捉えてしまう。その認識の境界、そして、自分と世界との間にある境界、時間の連続性に対する認知の境界などを超えることを模索している。全ては、長い長い時の、境界のない連続性の上に危うく奇跡的に存在する。
